Mobile Car Wash in Woodside
The nearest tunnel wash is a long way from most Woodside driveways. A hand wash at home makes more sense.
A mobile car wash in Woodside, by hand
A mobile car wash in Woodside saves a drive down to El Camino and back up the hill, which can undo half the wash on the way home. Our version is the Exterior Detail: a careful hand wash, wheels and tires cleaned, tire dressing and outside glass.
A tunnel wash relies on brushes and blowers. Washing by hand lets us work into the grille, the lower doors and the wheel barrels, where road grime from 280 and dust from country roads collect.
Gravel, dust and where to park the car
Long gravel or dirt driveways are common here, and dust can settle back on a freshly washed car. A paved pad, a level spot near the house or the garage works best. If the car is in the garage, we switch to waterless or rinseless methods only. We never move the car, so please park it where you want it washed.
A standard electrical outlet near the car is a must for every visit. Only certain jobs need a water tap, and our confirmation text will say so. We keep runoff away from storm drains.
- Leave the gate code in the request notes
- Tell us where we can park and set up
- Choose a level, paved spot if you have one
- Keep dogs and horses secured during the visit
Redwoods, oaks and the fog line
Along Kings Mountain Road and up toward Skyline Boulevard, many cars park under redwoods and oaks. That means sap, needles and bird droppings. Fresh sap usually comes off in the wash. Hardened sap and old droppings can etch the clear coat, and etching may not fully come out, so we tell you what we see before we start.
Higher up, fog drips off the trees and leaves spots and grime on the roof and hood. Down near Canada Road, summer dust is the bigger issue. Either way, regular washing keeps it from building up.
