Convertible detailing at your home
Convertible detailing starts with the roof. A fabric or vinyl top can fray, stain or let water in if it gets blasted, so our mobile team washes it with a gentle hand wash and low, careful rinsing. No harsh pressure on the top, ever. We come to your driveway or garage in Palo Alto and nearby Peninsula cities.
We do not apply top protectants or coatings. Our job is to get the top and the rest of the car clean without causing harm.
Soft tops, seals and rear windows
Soft tops collect pollen, bird droppings and the green film that grows under trees in wet winters. We loosen it with a soft brush and mild soap, work in sections, and rinse gently so water does not push past the seals.
Plastic rear windows scratch easily, so they get a clean microfiber and light pressure only. Glass rear windows are cleaned like any other glass, including the defroster lines, which we wipe along rather than across.

A cabin that sees the sun
With the top down, the cabin gets dust, leaves, sunscreen and the odd bit of beach sand from a Highway 1 drive. We vacuum the seats, carpets and the gap behind the seats, then wipe the dash, doors and console.
Light leather seats are cleaned gently. We do not condition leather, so we keep products mild. If you notice fading or cracking, that is wear that cleaning will not reverse, and we will say so before we start.
Which package fits a convertible
The Full Detail covers inside and outside in one visit and suits most convertibles. If the car sits under oaks or pines, sap on the paint may need extra time, so mention it when you request. Heavily soiled cars can be quoted for Elite Restoration after photos. Ceramic coating, paint correction and film are not part of what NOVA does, on convertibles or anything else.
Between details, a quick rinse of bird droppings with plain water and a soft cloth helps the top. Letting them sit for weeks in the sun is what tends to leave marks.
