What a car wash is good at
Speed. An automatic wash takes off loose dirt in minutes, and touchless washes avoid brushes altogether. Between details, a quick wash can be perfectly reasonable.
The trade-offs: brush and cloth washes can leave fine swirl marks that show on dark paint, touchless washes rely on strong chemicals and high pressure, and neither cleans the inside of the car.
What a mobile detail adds
- Hand work on the paint, wheels and glass, with products chosen for each surface.
- A real interior clean: seats, carpets, mats, dash, door panels and the inside of the glass.
- Care for sensitive surfaces: screens wiped with a dry or lightly damp microfiber, never sprayed; cleaners tested on a hidden spot of leather first; EV charge ports never sprayed.
- No driving and no waiting. You can be at work, at home or out.
What a mobile detail needs from you
A standard outlet near the car, every time, and a water tap only for some jobs (we tell you when we confirm). A spot where we can walk all the way around the car. Inside garages we use waterless or rinseless methods only. The full list is in before your mobile detail.
What happens to the water
Storm drains are not the sewer: on the Peninsula they lead to creeks and the Bay. We keep wash water out of streets, gutters and storm drains and use rinseless or waterless methods where we can, which is also why many apartment and office garages can host an interior detail with no water at all.
