The first few hours
- Carpets and cloth seats can stay damp for several hours after extraction. Let the car air out, for example windows slightly open if it is safe, or doors open in a dry garage.
- Don't keep the car closed up while it is damp.
- Put the floor mats back once they are dry to the touch.
If you had the engine bay add-on
Start the car within 24 hours and tell us right away about any problem. On some older cars, moisture can briefly cause a warning light or a rough start; this usually clears as parts dry. If a warning light doesn't clear, don't drive the car if it may be unsafe, and text us.
Check it within 48 hours
Look the car over in good light. If something we cleaned isn't right, text us within 48 hours, with photos if you can, and we come back to redo that area at no charge. After 48 hours, use, dust and weather make it hard to tell what came from the service, though we still review every concern.
Rain, dust, pollen, tree sap and bird droppings that land after we leave aren't covered by the promise. Damage concerns follow our damage and liability policy.
Keeping it clean longer
- Keep a small trash bag and a microfiber towel in the car.
- Shake out mats weekly and wipe touch points.
- Remove sap and droppings from the paint quickly.
- Wash gently: plenty of water or lubrication, clean towels, no dry-wiping.
- If you like the result, NOVA Monthly keeps it that way on a held schedule.
Happy with it?
If we detailed your car and you were happy, a Google review (opens in a new tab) helps other Peninsula drivers find us. We only ask for Google reviews and never offer anything in exchange.
